Unit Description: BA Networks
We're a global team of approx. 30,000 in 93 countries, with 126 nationalities represented. About half of us work in R&D, approx. 6,000 in Group Supply and 5,000 in Service Area Networks. Together we create future-proof, scalable network architectures in an industry that is constantly on the move. Our approach is simple: we build solutions that empower our customers to meet tomorrow's demands. 5G is happening now, with the first commercial launches implemented today.
The organization Product Development Unit (PDU) Cloud RAN within Business Unit Networks aims to work closely with our customers, focused on delivery of virtualized RAN solutions.
You will
Be actively engaged in the architecture definition and proactively drive the implementation of NR Radio Management functions successively on the Virtual DU side, in particular:
Be able to deliver scalability, resilience, and performance by taking full advantage of the evolving architectural and services inherent to a Cloud Native Platform
Strive for delivery of product and test code that maximizes the advantages of a DevOps infrastructure
Foster a systematization and implementation that enable rapid feature parity in a Stand Alone and Hybrid network environment
To be successful in the role you must have the following
Experience with the implementation of NR L1 functions
Experience working with Cloud Native core design principles - microservices, containers, pods, Master/worker nodes
Experience developing through the Cloud Native Development Pipeline principles and tools - CI/CD (DevOps), Jenkins, Spinnaker
An innovative mindset
Good Communication and Presentation skills
A collaborative approach to teamwork
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5-6 years of work in Wireless embedded Software and/or Cloud Native product development
Minimum 5-6 years of work experience in functions related to NR L1
BSc or MSc degree level in a Software related field
