We at Propulsion Diagnostics and Dependability section can now offer a position as Software Developer. The section "Diagnostics & Dependability" at Volvo Cars consists of over a hundred highly motivated engineers. We work in all development phases; from early advanced engineering to after sales market follow up with Propulsion diagnostic and dependability and are responsible for strategies, specifications, function development, software development, calibration, verification and certification of the propulsion system.
As a Software developer you will be part of a cross functional agile development team. The team breaks down change requests, defines and estimates all activities needed and allocate the activities into a sprint.
You will produce embedded ?C-code in an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for different functions. You will mostly design in Simulink embedded coder or Target Link automatically generate functions in C-code. You need to test and simulate the designs in a virtual PC based ECU or in real target ECU in a HIL rig, engine test cell or a car.

Main responsibilities:
* SW development of embedded C-code
* Perform testing in various test environments
* Perform test activities in vehicles
* Participate in a cross functional agile team
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience from embedded software development
* Knowledge of Simulink and model based SW development
* Hands on experience with debugging/testing embedded software systems
* Understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
* Competence in Test automation, C-programming, SW build environments, Continuous integration framework, JIRA, Jenkins, SVN, INCA, SW testing (unit, MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle) is beneficial
* University degree within Electronics, Mechatronics, SW engineering or equivalent
* Good English skills, spoken and written
* Driving license "B"
