We are now looking for a Software developer to join our Product Maintenance team.
THE PRODUCT MAINTENANCE TEAM
We are a team within Axis Research & Development organization, responsible of supporting the products on the market. We work close to the sales and support organization world-wide and help them in their day to day struggles. Our team work specifically with firmware and is part of the Global Maintenance Organization (PMT) which deals with all type of cases from Hardware to System Solutions.
We even started an initiative to provide 'Professional Services' to our partners and customers, developing and charging for fully customized solutions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This is an important role in Axis as we are proud to provide an outstanding service to our customers and partners.
As part of the Product Maintenance team, you will be working close to the Technical Services and Sales organization to provide support and technical expertise.
Challenges will range from investigating and solving issues in the field to providing advanced development services to Axis partners and customers.
The role includes:
Troubleshoot firmware issues in our embedded video software platform
Implement more or less customized solutions for specific customer projects
Provide deep technical expertise to the support and sales teams.
You will also get some opportunities to travel (Customer visits, Partner visits, Conferences, etc.)
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for someone who is curious and open to new challenges, and at the same time eager to share your insights and help others, suggesting a way forward. You have the ability to communicate professionally with 'external' parties (such as customers and partners) in English or Swedish. You enjoy engaging in discussions with others, focusing on problem solving.
We believe that you have previous experience from working in a technical support organization. You also have experience from:
C programming
Linux environment
Network & Telecommunication
Advanced debugging
It is an advantage if you have used network analyzers (Wireshark or similar) and interpreting the output.
