The position
We are looking for a software developer to join our digital product team for web and e-commerce. You will be a key player in the software development at Roxtec. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create modern, intuitive applications. Focus will be on writing testable, reusable, and efficient code to enable the development of high-performance applications within the web and e-commerce area.
We think you have a broad general knowledge within software development. To succeed in this role, you need a genuine interest in coding and development techniques and methodologies. It must be of great importance for you to always deliver quality, and you must understand the importance of having good relationships with your internal customers and co-workers.
The Roxtec Web & E-commerce department covers development, operations and support for our websites for all the 28 subsidiaries in the group, worldwide. The department is based at the Roxtec headquarters in Karlskrona, Sweden.
Key responsibilities
• Development and operation of web and e-commerce services.
• Architect and engineer new systems and services within above areas.
• Design and implement software solutions that align with the business requirements and goals.
• Automate and optimize the development, testing and deployment processes using best practices and methodologies.
• Ensure the security, compliance, and availability of the web and e-commerce services.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team and other stakeholders.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and trends and recommend improvements and innovations.
You will also:
• Help the team deliver any tasks needed.
• Help creating and evaluating requirements, internally but also towards external partners.
• Ensure continuous improvements within the area.
Good to have:
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a software developer, or a similar role.
• Experience in .NET/Node/TypeScript/React or Optimizely CMS.
• Fluent in English - written and spoken.
• It is also a merit if you have experience in project management, cloud solutions and especially Google cloud functions and integrations.
• Experience in an agile way of working like SCRUM or Kanban methodology is an advantage.
