What's in it for you?
Within Audio System Team we are looking for a professional and enthusiastic Software developer, who will support with latest in-house development of SW and test cases.
We are part of an agile product development organization with SAFE as a way of working in our Agile Release Train "Connected Experience".
The Audio Systems group is responsible for HW-, SW- and System development of all the audio functionalities in the cars. Apart from the sound systems (amplifier and speakers), our Team's responsibilities also include systems like ANC (Active Noise Control), Microphones, Bluetooth Handsfree and Exterior Sound for Hybrid/Electrical vehicles. Project Management and Audio Tuning is also part of the group's responsibilities. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods within the audio field and with the launch of all the new audio content in the new SPA platform, we are in the forefront of audio technology in cars.
What you'll do
As a Software Developer you will be part of a highly skilled agile team which has a good mix of nationality, gender, age and experience. Here you will have the opportunity to learn and develop for every sprint. There are no limits when it comes to how much there is to learn.
You and your skills
You will be working in a Team developing and maintaining SW components, written in high-level object-oriented C++, which will interact with audio amplifier system in the car. In the Team you will create unit-tests and integration tests for the code that you develop, to ensure code quality.
You do not need any sound/acoustic experience to write these SW components in C++.
You do need to be object-oriented C++ knowledge and familiar with CMake build system and GoogleTest (C++ Google Testing and Mocking Framework).
You also need to be proficient in Unix/Linux OS and the Unix command line, intermediate to advanced knowledge in Software design/architecture and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Git.
We believe that you should at least have a Computer Engineering degree or equivalent.
On a personal side we believe that you are social, open, communicative and a ambitious team player full of drive and optimism. It is important that you are highly customer focused and that you are driven by overcoming challenges and finding solutions both short term as well as long term.
