We are now looking for a software designer to the Radio Control FW verification team at Ericsson.
Publiceringsdatum2010-01-14Dina arbetsuppgifterAs a designer at the section it is your responsibility to verify the software in the GSM base station. This means integration of software, verify features in a number of HW configurations and extensive regression testing. Your tasks will also include maintaining ant increasing the quality in the verification environment, i.e. hardware, own tools, verification scripts, documents and computer environment.
Work tasks include:
• analyze and understand requirement and write test specifications
• design and automate test cases
• update test tools if necessary or define necessary changes
• execute testing and/or integration
• write trouble reports and discuss problems with software design department
• write test reports
• follow and continuously improve our processes
The applicant shall be able to work both independently and in project teams and take personal responsibility for work methods and completion of tasks.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
You have a master of science within computer / electrical engineering or equivalent.
Requested competence:
• software design in C/C++/pearl
• knowledge in and experience from SW design verification, e.g automatization, daily build, trouble shooting
• HP-Vee experience is considered a great advantage
• an understanding of Radio HW is considered a great advantage
• GSM BTS system knowledge is considered an advantage
• experience of testing tools e.g G-master, DB Edit Tool, spectrum analyze and logic analyzer is considered an advantage
• positive, open-minded with good communication and co-operation skills
• good written and spoken English.

At the Radio and Traffic Verification section at the SW design department we take part in the integration of the GSM BTS SW incl RBS6000 GSM support, verify features with various configurations and perform extensive testing. We are also responsible for maintaining a high quality level in our test environment.
Today the section consists of around 15 skilled and motivated SW engineers with different background, nationalities, age and gender.
