Humphree is an entrepreneurial company in the marine industry. We develop industry leading trim and stabilization systems for motor vessels. We lower the ship's emissions and improve the comfort for people onboard. Our market is global, and our products are mounted on some of the worlds most advanced ships. We are working on several industry-changing projects. Becoming a data-driven digital organization is at the core of this endeavour. We are now looking for a Software Department Manager to join our crew.
Role
Humphree is constantly evolving. Now we aim for broadening our capabilities beyond our core, Embedded system development, into the domain of cloud based services. As Software Department manager you will be a key contributor in this journey by managing and supporting a growing team of six skilled developers and testers. Your mission will be to lead the software development department's daily work by designing best ways of working, manage resources and recruit new people, making sure everyone has the tools to be productive. The role includes budget and personnel responsibilities, and you will become part of R&D management team.
You
As a person, you have a great interest in software, are used to dealing with technical decisions, and of leading engineers in practice. You probably have several years of experience from a leading position such as Product Owner, Scrum Master, Quality Engineer, Test Leader or similar, thus used to leading people in various software organizations. We think you have solid knowledge of and experience with Agile development models and thereby have a modern way of looking at the technology. You thrive where you have a central role in both how we solve problems and what problems we should solve. Finally, we hope you love the opportunity to coordinate your team in delivering in a fast-growing company where the organisation is constantly evolving. Are you our next Software Department Manager?
