Aurobay is looking for a new team member with experience of handling multiple applications. As our new Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of Product Creation and Manufacturing Engineering Digital Software assets, applications, and the corresponding licenses. What you'll do
In the roll as a Software Asset Management Engineer, you will be in collaboration with the System team, by setting up efficient Asset Management processes, facilitate and coordinate implementation of Software Asset Management functions that brings business value and support end users on technical issues.
You will identify license needs, estimate the costs, and prepare investment requests, as well as participate in license negotiations and evaluations of vendor offers. You will be assisting in Software Asset Management (SAM) audits, and enter, update, and maintain data in the Software asset management tool, along with coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and configurations. As well as communicate with business users about planned maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.
The role includes work with vendors to build software installation packages and rollout that packages on end user system, in collaboration with infrastructure and PC-ME System team.
You will actively offer hands on support for the application/asset's implementations, software renewals, license negotiations and license audits, including future plans. Perform optimization activities like license transfers or reclaim & redeploy Obtain proper documentation such as Proof of Purchase documentation and Calculate the Effective demand and Effective licenses in the environment.
In your daily work you will also, review, maintain and enhance the technical setup of the applications and environments as well as coordinate with PC-ME Digital team to maintain knowledge on all licensing changes.
You will interface on a day-to-day basis with other engineers, and Digital team members in our main location in Gothenburg (HQ) and Skövde (Plant), Sweden, you will also connect to teams in China. You will report to Head of PC & ME.
Qualifications and personality
We believe you have a bachelor's degree or higher as an Engineer, and several years of handling multiple engineering applications with minimum 5 years of experience of handling multiple applications.
• Technical knowledge of cloud services, integrations, and application management
• You will have a good knowledge in Preparing Entitlement and Deployment reports for clients
• Moral understanding in terms and conditions defined in the Software contract and guide the organization on software usage
• Experience of working with databases SQL, Oracle etc.
• Good knowledge on different licensing models
• Experience in On-boarding software publishers in License management/asset management tool
• Additional looked-for skills
• Knowledge in Agile processes (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe)
• Language: Swedish and English
