Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Within Tactical system we are developing tactical functionality for all our products in the following technical areas; communication, data links, targeting, electronic warfare, navigation, reconnaissance, mission management and decision support. The result of our design is implemented in the platform computers and in equipment delivered from our suppliers and partners.
The unit Radar and IFF works with research, development and maintenance of Radar and IFF systems (Identification Friend or Foe) within Gripen and Tactical Mission Systems for helicopters. The area also includes integration of sensors on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)
The teams work closely with suppliers, customers, and users.
Personnel from the unit are working mainly in functional teams together with engineers from other technical areas
Your role
We are facing the next upgrade of Gripen and need to strengthen our Radar team with a software architect. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the intire functional delvelopment chain, from requirements, design, implementation, verification and validation.  As the software architect you will be responsible for the requirements of the software design, maintainability and the robustness of the system.
There are possibilities to immerse in the software area, MBSE or widen into system design. There will also be opportunities to participate in studies, investigations and development of prototypes
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who finds the above interesting and exiting.
A suitable educational background could be a Master of Science in physics, electronics or computer science. Knowledge of MBSE, Ada, xtUML, BridgePoint is qualifying.
We are working in project teams where you represent our technical domain. It is therefore important that you are communicative and enterprising.
