Curosense is making independent living made possible for our elderly and we are building first home-based elderly care kit.

We're looking for our first tech co-founder and if you're a Software Architect with experience in Java & C++ interested in joining us in building our home-care sensor kit, please read on.

Every 5th person in Sweden is aged 65 or above. Elderly-care is one of the biggest challenges we're facing socially . We rely so much on the elderly care homes, government funding and external players to solve this problem. But if we turn the question other way round; Are we personally equipped to take care of our own aging parents?

This is exactly what Curosense is solving! We are building a home-based care system that will make independent living possible for our elderly and we're looking for a software architect to join our founding team to continue on work we've accomplished over the past 5 years.

What have we accomplished?

We have built a sensor management system that would be able to read and combine existing sensor inputs at our homes with possibility to create an effective notification system enabling independent elderly care.

Our current demo with the logic and backend service has been tested in Danderyd's University Hospital in Stockholm and in other healthcare units in Netherlands and Spain with positive feedbacks.

What're we looking for in our Software Architect?

We currently have a working technology, a sensor management system that can read multiple sensors and give us input on various activities happening in-house.

But our goal is to create a product, a home-based elderly care kit that our customers can unpack and install to make their homes into safe havens for elderly care, notifying the care-giver on simple cases like:

Medical Adherence - taking medicine on time
Shared calendar - synchronizing doctor's appointments with our calendar
Accidents - notifying alarm if there is a quick fall/accident at home
Responsibilities:

We're looking for an experienced software engineer & architect who can convert our 'working technology' into a 'functioning product' that our customers would love.

You would be

• responsible for the system integration and design of the software modules of our hardware solution.
• designing the web and mobile interfaces for the notification system based on the output data from our sensor systems.
• responsible for solving specific elderly use cases with our sensor and backend infrastructure.

1. Strong software developer background with experience in C++, Python and Java.
2. Experience with building APIs and software integration.
3. Experience with building web/mobile interfaces (preferably within IoT solutions is a big plus).
4. Independent and entrepreneurial - because you would be joining the founder who's a business developer and product architect as the 2nd member of the Curosense team.
5. Excellent and transparent communication skills in English (Swedish is not a mandatory requirement for the role but advantageous).

Big plus (but not a requirement):
If you're from a smart home, house-alarm or IoT background.

We're building one of the first self-reliant home-based elderly care kits that makes independent living possible for "elderly" persons (e.g. aging parents). The social and personal impact that we can create with our product is limitless.

Our core differentiation is that we're targeting informal care-givers (like son or daughter or family member) as our clients instead of elderly or municipality like most of our competitors. So, we have a better business model than most.

We have invested more than 5 years of focused technology development that has given birth to a working demo that has attracted interests of several key clients including our current customer - Danderyd's University Hospital.

We have the best business advisors, tech mentors and investor network routing for us to win and this could be the best time for you to join us in this early ride to change home care forever.
