hela Sverige We are looking for an IT Software Architect to work cross functional with the whole Volvo embedded software processes and systems.
Who are we?
Our Solution Center CPA Software and Diagnostics within Volvo Group Digital and IT has the end-to-end responsibility for all development, delivery, and support of IT solutions for the whole Volvo Group in the field of embedded software.
The area is developing rapidly to support the product evolution, the new generation of Volvo products and solutions. If you are interested in topics like connected trucks, autonomous driving, digital twin, and new ways of handling the deployment of the vehicle software, this is the place for you.
We are a global team, with colleagues working from Sweden, India, Poland and Brazil. We are in search of an end-to-end IT Software Architect, to join the team located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Assignment Description and Responsibilities
As the end-to-end IT Software Architect, you will define end-to-end technical solutions that consider the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints within the embedded software area, collaborating with all delivery teams inside the solution center, as well with stakeholders at technology, production, and aftermarket areas.
The role also includes responsibility to support in product projects as the lead architect. For this part of the assignment, you'll need planning, organization, documentation, and communication skills, with a good background in embedded software area.
As part of our digital transformation, we are moving from application centric solutions to microservices, and we expect you to contribute to the definition of the new cloud-based architecture at our Solution Center; sometimes driving changes, sometimes collaborating with other teams.
In your daily work, you will team up with business representatives, solution architects, project managers, business analysts, solution, delivery leads and many more within the Volvo organization.
Last, but not least, we are looking for a person with advanced technical skills, open minded and honest team player who appreciates fun at work.
Required Experience and Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in process definition, documentation and implementation
Strong analytical skills
Experience in several development environments
Complete proficiency in English
Experience in embedded software field
Engagement in cyber security topics
Understanding of Agile practices
Fast learner
Good to Have Skills
Knowledge in Micro services, Cloud solutions, DevSecOps
Experience working as Lead Architect in projects at Volvo
