Our offer
At Vehicle Software & Electronics, we are responsible for developing a great user experience based on real customer needs. The Active Safety department has been one of the fastest growing fields of the Volvo Car Group over the last decade thanks to rapid development and continuous launch of innovative and world-first Active Safety features. In the role as a software and system designer you will be part of one of our cross-functional Agile Teams consisting of enthusiastic and skilled engineers from all corners of the world! We are transforming, moving toward SAFe way of working, and so are our developing tools.
Your key tasks will be:
- To get a holistic understanding of our systems and functions, take lead, create and develop software and system realisation requirements towards our suppliers as well internally and align and follow up during development process.
- To work closely with function owner and our system safety team to develop the Functional Safety Concept (FSC) to meet our top level safety goals and in order to meet functional safety standard ISO 26262.
- Defining signal interfaces and Logic Timing Constraints towards our Signal Database team.
- To act as a technical project leader towards our supplier related to Software development.
Who are you?
First of all, you are someone who is motivated and passionate about working in the automotive industry! Having work experience from similar roles or the Automotive Industry is also a great plus.
Requirements
- BCs or MSc in engineering, electronics, mechatronics, physics or similar
- Knowledge of embedded System design and Software
- Fluent in English, written as well as spoken
- Automotive experience
It is meritorious if you have knowledge in System Design tools such as Elektra, Systemweaver and Autosar. Furthermore you need to be comfortable working within the Agile framework, and possess good communication skills as this role entails a lot of networking, internally as well as externally.
