Product Unit Security Entrance Control & Revolving Doors is a newly formed product unit in ASSA ABLOY. We develop and maintain products such as revolving doors, speed gates, portals, and exit lanes. This product portfolio is used by our customers globally on a daily basis, and your role will be to both improve it as well as act as a visionary for our brand-new products.
What would you do as a Software and Electronics Team Leader
Within this newly created role, you will daily, lead, coach, and continuously develop the Software and Electronics team within PU SEC & RD, based in Sweden and Germany. You will secure a common global way of working between the teams and take responsibility for the Software and Electronics roadmap.
From time to time, you will participate in programming activities (embedded C++), to support and help out your teams as well as to keep updated about existing and new technology.
In this role, you are also the technical product owner for the different control systems in our products. That means you will lead pre-studies to explore new technology or customer value as well as planning for new control systems and maintaining the existing ones.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, being hands-on in embedded systems - and product development.
• Has deep knowledge and understanding of project management and agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Possesses basic knowledge of electronics.
• Ideally has some prior experience in leading others. This is meritorious but not a must.
• Has a good understanding of complex multifunctional global projects.
• Is a skilled communicator who can influence and inspire others.
