The International School of the Stockholm Region is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. The school runs the International Baccalaureate's curricula. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is offered to students from 5-11 years of age and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) is offered to students from 11-16. The schools language of instruction is English for all subjects. In addition, the IBO Diploma Programme is also offered through IB School South on the same campus. Thus with ISSR and IB School South our students can receive an internationally-recognized education in English from 5 to 19 years of age in one location in the center of Stockholm.
1 plats(er). ISSR will be in need of a Social science and English teacher for the Middle Years Programme. As we are starting this school year classes will be mixed levels initially and then divided as we grow as a school. The position will thus involve teaching MYP 1-5 (11-16 year olds) teaching social science and English (language A) alongside a math/science teacher in a joint mentor format.

The position will thus involve teaching MYP 1-5 (11-16 year olds) teaching social science and English (language A) alongside a math/science teacher in a joint mentor format.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Mentorship for approximately 20 student
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Participating in school activities (assemblies, evening events, conferences, etc.)
• Supervising children during breaks
• Planning with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
• A university educated teacher with certification from either Sweden or a native English speaking country
• Native English speaker (or near native fluency)
• Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard and other tools for learning).
Löneform: Månadslön.
Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad.
Krav på arbetslivserfarenhet: Erfarenhet krävs. A qualified candidate will be:
• International and/or IB teaching experience
• IB teaching experience and/or training (Understanding By Design also desirable)
Varaktighet: 3-6 månader.
Arbetstid: Dagtid.
