Social Activation Coordinator - Social Media Department

The Social Media Department belongs to Marketing Platforms/Global Marketing and our responsibility is two-fold; to manage the brand's global channels and to deliver strategy and content to Volvo Car Groups' 70+ local markets around the world. As a truly consumer oriented company, social media is important and a key priority for Volvo Car Group in order to reach digital leadership. Social media should contribute and generate business for Volvo Car Group across the entire path to purchase and the ownership phase. As Social Activation Coordinator you will contribute to the Volvo Car Group's Social Media department. You will be a part of the content and campaign activations team that oversees the communication and content flow within our global social channels and are directly involved in the production processes of the same. Volvo Car Group is active on several leading social media networks, with a community of millions. Daily activations communicate directly with hundreds of thousands of prospects and customers, presenting a huge opportunity, and a unique responsibility. You have the ability to work independently and stand up for your decisions with an eye for detail and creativity. The role reports to the Senior Manager Social Media, and works closely to support the Social Program Integration Manager in operational tasks.
Main responsibilities

• Working closely with the Social Program Integration Manager to deliver upon the editorial calendar and programming strategy and manage its execution on global social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+ etc.) , including cascading for activation by local markets;

1 Global account social media conversation calendar planning documents
2 Daily posting (review copy and distribution plans)
3 Ongoing 'real-time' process involvement
4 3rd party content amplification and editorial curation

• Working closely with internal stakeholders and Global Marketing colleagues to identify opportunities and lead content-driven social media projects, including;

1 evergreen content initiatives
2 sourcing/managing content from internal and external stakeholders
3 stand-alone campaigns (manage from brief to post-campaign analysis)

• Take ownership of full content process on selected global social media accounts
• Manage content architecture, activation and maintenance on global YouTube channel
• Other platforms to be defined with Social Program Integration Manager

Required qualifications

• B.Sc, preferably in Marketing or other relevant area with the right experience
• At least 2 years work experience in social media management and digital advertising
• Extensive experience in marketing/branding/communications
• Fluent in English on a professional level, both written and spoken
• Experience working with agency team (client side or in house)
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage complex projects with varying requirements and deadlines
• Experienced in interacting with a broad range of stakeholders, internal and external. Interacting with local markets is meritorious
• Experience from publishing in social media channels; experience working with a content management tool is meritorious
• Financial management skills
