Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from being a traditional truck manufacturer to becoming a provider of complete transport solutions. Our success requires smart IT solutions due to increase in the use of digital technology. As a result, Scania IT will be an important player in this change process.

The group Standardized Interfaces is supporting this by promoting a modularized SOA and API-based IT. Standardized Interfaces provide information or functionality to several consuming systems. As a SOA Architect you will focus on the design of new integrations. These integrations, based on SOA services and APIs, are provided to Scania internally and externally.

Your role
As a SOA architect at Standardized Interfaces, you will work in an agile team in close cooperation with the business, but you will also have contacts within Scania IT.

The challenge is to design the interfaces in a reusable way and also in between systems in all Scania business processes, whenever applicable. In your position as a SOA architect you will, with your understanding for, Scania's business and the information, specify standardized integrations that are modular and reusable on the service- method- and attribute- level.

While the above is your core focus, given the agile nature of the team, you will also be involved in the implementation of new standardized interfaces.

Your profile
This is a great opportunity for you who has an academic education and great IT interest and want to work within connectivity, or for you who already has the integration experience and want to learn more from a business- and information- based view.

You probably have an academic degree (M. Sc.) or equivalent within IT or any Scania-business related field. Further, the following is advantageous, yet not required:

basic understanding in SOA, service architecture and API Management
basic understanding of XML, modularization of SOA services based on SOAP (WSDL) and API Management based on REST (Swagger)
the ability to create and visualize sustainable integration solutions that meet business requirements and follow Scania IT's guidelines
experience to work in agile teams
experience in Altova XMLSpy, Sparx Enterprise Architect or equivalent

Also, you have to be fluent in English, our corporate language.
