The IT Service tower handles all IT matters for the E.ON Group including the IT budget ? in close alignment with the E.ON business. It is represented by 2,500 employees in nine European countries.
The energy system is changing. The E.ON Distribution businesses covering the following regions (Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden) need to evolve new capabilities to manage an increasingly complex and volatile electricity network. These new capabilities will emerge and largely be supported new Systems Architectures and Applications providing essential management information by connecting a growing intelligence in the grid.
Responsibilities
You will have a leading role within Innovation Pilots & Deployment Projects by developing IT Application and solutions for emerging and future Business Capabilities.
You are able to lead specific areas of research in Smart Grid Technical Topics to develop new concepts and implementation plans. You will participate in the definition of Smart Grid IT Application solutions for business units in the area of Energy Distribution, and will take operational ownership for the ongoing management and development of the new Smart Grid Applications.
In this position you will undertake business analysis to understand key requirements for future Smart Grid Applications, and build up and develop solution and technology, based know-how for the specific Business Capabilities while acting as a visionary and strategist for related solution product area.
You will manage the relationships with other divisions and suppliers where appropriate.
Definition of requirement specifications and engagement throughout the procurement lifecycle and subsequent vendor engagements is also your responsibility.
Qualifications:
• Good technical knowledge with proven experience in development and implementation of IT solutions for the Energy Distribution Business.
• Experience with analysis, design and implementation of IT solutions for Energy Distribution businesses through the whole project life cycle
• Interest and understanding of IT solutions for Energy Distribution businesses available on the wider market as well as for new concepts in the area of Smart Grid
• Deep technical knowledge and experience with IT solutions in Network Operations, Asset Management, Data & Information Modelling, CIM or other applicable standards
• Experience of application administration and configuration may be advantegeous
• Good communication skills to be able to explain solutions and ideas to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language
• Structured, creative, target oriented and a proactive way of thinking
