Videoplaza is Europe?s leading video ad serving specialist. They help publishers better monetise their online video content using a proprietary built for purpose video ad serving platform. Broadcasters, publishers, ad networks and pure online players all benefit from their our solution. Now we seek several skilled software engineers to join the team of world class developers and help them further expand their market lead.
What Videoplaza do
Scaling the platform to handle tens of thousands of req/s with zero downtime, providing real time reports and forecasts based on billions of log rows and building a simple and intuitive UI that lets clients easily traffic their campaigns and maximize their sales; these are some of the complex challenges that make dev work at Videoplaza really interesting and rewarding.
To be able to do all this with limited resources Videoplaza use the best frameworks and tools out there or,when they are not good enough, they write our own. Most of the code they write is in Java, but the platform is anything but your average JEE app.
How Videoplaza do it
At Videoplaza, agile development is more than just a buzz word. They do proper scrum and XP with all the responsibilities, pains and rewards that come with those methodologies. Being able to quickly respond to changing requirements and to constantly improve their processes is a necessity in a rapidly evolving market space.
As a developer you would join a cross-functional scrum team working on new features and functionality in every layer of the product. Although you would likely spend most of your time developing components relevant to your expertise you will be exposed to and required to understand all parts of the system.
Who you are
You should be an outstanding software developer. Videoplaza code mostly in Java and use frameworks and tools such as Spring, Guice, Maven, Hibernate, MongoDB, RESTEasy and GWT. Solid experience of one or more of these is no doubt a bonus, but if you?re the kind of person we?re looking for, you?ll be able to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly and easily anyways.
Another thing Videoplaza insist on is that you have a passion for what you do and a hunger for learning new things. Videoplaza constantly evaluate ourselves and try to find better ways of doing things. They expect you to do the same and ? just as important ? help others improve as well.
All meetings and written communication at Videoplaza is in English. Swedish is not a requirement.
