The role
You will be working with the API product team, a dedicated DevOps team consisting of six Developers, focusing on delivering solutions of value to our users. As this is a relatively new team, your input will be of great value in evolvement of our API strategy. In this role, you will be in close collaboration with Domain Team Leads, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects and of course, your fellow Developers across teams. Together, you will be:
Delivering API product value to the ecosystem by developing flexible and modular API solutions, designed in collaboration with product and service teams.
Securing long-term efficiency and scalability of the APIs by continuously implementing transformation and modernization.
Supporting evolution of enterprise architecture blueprints & reference models and facilitate their enablement and adoption within the API area.
Based on API gateways, metrics, and dashboards determine what API operations are most used, least used, and where to focus efforts and quality improvements.
Practice Agile and DevOps in collaboration with product and support teams.
The API team has ownership of externally exposed APIs where we both provide own API's and enable external parties' consumption of APIs. Easy and reliable integration is key, and the team have the DevOps responsibility - from creation to lifetime management and continuous improvements of the APIs.
Your profile
As Senior Developer, you will have a key role in the API team. You will therefore be required to possess an excellent understanding and practical experience of API development and integration, spanning over the full lifecycle. You are comfortable proposing new solutions and ideas for future development as well as building on other's ideas. You enjoy working with others and know how to efficiently communicate complex technical matters to both technical and non-technical professionals.
Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you also have:
A University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar education.
Minimum 5-Years' Experience as API Developer.
Good knowledge of later versions of Java, Spring, GraphQL, design patterns such as REST and open API standard.
Good knowledge relational/NoSQL database and caching frameworks.
Practical experience of integration incl. API gateways such as AWS API Gateway.
Knowledge in asynchronous programming, Microservice architecture and AWS services such as Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, Amazon Kinesis, AWS lambda and AWS ECS.
Experience of fleet management systems and the transport & logistics domain area is a plus
Experience from mobile (connected) applications is also a great advantage
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
