You will be part of the Business Unit Grid Integration, located in Västerås. Grid and Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) technologies provide more power and control in existing AC as well as green-field networks and have minimal environmental impact. At G&PQS you will create a sustainable future. You will work with advanced power and electrical systems and have the necessary drive and customer focus, GPQS offer a stimulating and dynamic environment in a global context where you will be working at the forefront of the industry.
Your responsibilities
Plan on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager including necessary local resources, equipment and milestones.
Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline to ensure the successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
Serve as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations.
Ensure detailed and up-to-date construction Health & Safety (H&S) plan is in place in respect of each work package, compliant with the Hitachi Energy H&S plan.
Ensure correct handling, storage and installation of ABBdelivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage as well as shipment logistics to secure timely site delivery of equipment and material.
Manage the sub-contractors on site hired by Hitachi Energy to ensure necessary quality and progress achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.
Control project cost for the project site work, monitors actual spend against forecasts, and estimates final cost for the same.
Ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for the construction work on site.

Your background
Several years of experience in Construction Engineering
We expect you to have Site Manager Certification
Ability and willingness to travel
Experience in Civil Works and Commissioning
You are a natural leader and set a good example - both on and off sites
Great interpersonal skills, learning focus and flexibility
Proficiency in English is a must, whereas additional languages are a plus
Strong OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) awareness
