About SRE team
Is "improve things" your middle name and want to be a part of an exciting journey?
To reach our vision at ATG IT and deliver world class business innovation, we in the operations department have started the journey of adopting to ATG IT's product centric approach. By this we will increase our efforts and skills in automation, in cloud usage and of course service delivery.
A central part of this effort is the newly formed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. The team will consist of 5 team members that today cooperates with a virtual team in the organization.
This is a unique opportunity for you as a trainee to be a part of a new journey and contribute to shaping and impacting the future of ATG!
We use the following systems and tools:
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (e.g. Dynatrace) to analyse our services that are mainly written in Java (Spring boot environment) and run in Kubernetes.
• Log analysis tools (e.g. Splunk) to analyse problems and to do Root Cause Analysis when incidents occur.
• Python and other script languages to integrate different monitoring tools.
What your daily work will consist of:
First of all, you will learn a lot about ATG, Operations, Systems we work in and tools we use!
When you gathered that knowledge you will:
• Proactively analyse problems we see in our IT systems and together with the product teams try to find the root cause.
• Actively work with developing tools for this purpose and automate our processes as well as sharing our knowledge to other colleagues within IT at ATG.
• Improve the monitoring of our IT systems.
• Work with integration and development of internal tools for monitoring
Who are you?
We are looking for a fast learner, who have an eye for details, is proactive and triggered by problem solving. Good communication and cooperation skills are essential in this role, as we will have close dialogue with many different colleagues from different sections at ATG such as Development and Architecture.
We like to see that you are ambitious with a results-oriented approach. You are inherently curious and have a hands-on, can-do demeanor. You are a person who thrive in a multi-cultural workplace and enjoy interacting with people from all over the world.
And least but not last you are phenomenal team-player but can also tackle projects independently.
We like to see that you have basic understanding and/or some experience in:
• DevOps mindset and a great interest for technologies within your area and generally in IT is a big advantage.
• Coding/scripting skills are required since our aim is to automize our processes at IT Operations.
• You have great interest in Cloud solutions.
• Prior work experience can be a merit, but not a requirement.
• Have relevant degree in Computer engineering/science or similar from Yrkeshögskola and/or University.
• You are fluent in English, Swedish language is merit.
About me- Erik Änggård - SRE Team lead
I started at ATG for a bit more than year ago, the role was new at ATG then, so we have been shaping it along the way. In the beginning of 2020, we formed the SRE team, initially as a virtual team consisting of some of the most skilled people from different teams in the IT department. Now we are looking to extend the SRE team with some permanent members to get even more focus on this very important work. I really enjoy working with this team of bright people where we come together to analyze and solve problems or potential issues. We work in an agile way where everyone contributes and takes responsibility for their parts. I have a background as a developer and really enjoy deep diving into technical issues. I have also worked extensively as a manager of development teams and like to coach teams to bring out their full potential. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading or just hanging out with family and friends.
About me- Nitin Jain- SRE -Infrastructure & Automation
I started at ATG two years ago with ATG's new platform OpenShift Container Platform and part of SRE team from last year. I have worked in Telecom & IT as a Devops Engineer, and I am a Certified Architect in both Azure & AWS and have worked extensively in developing solutions like Private LTE, Proxy, CDN, IPTV. In my spare time I enjoy video games, reading, travelling and love to hang out with family & friends.
