Bleaching Chemicals is one of three global sub business units within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide. Our head office is located in Marietta, Georgia, USA and we employ 950 people.

The Alby site is a production site located in northern Sweden. The Alby site produces sodium chlorate and hydrogen peroxide, which is bleaching chemicals. There are also a production of potassium chlorate which is used as raw material in production of matches and fireworks. The production units for sodium- and potassium- chlorate production are located at the same area. The hydrogen peroxide production unit is about 1 km away from the chlorate production.

There is about 100 employees and required contractors working at the plant. Approximately 55 of the employees and all contractors are working daytime working days. 24 of the employees are shift workers (operators), and the plant is manned by them, with four operators every hour of the year.

About the position
We are now looking for a Site Manager to our Site in Alby, Ånge. As our site manager you will take on important leader role managing cultural change and developing the organization and the production performance. You will work as a role model and establish a culture of functional and operational excellence, continuous improvement, accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviours at the Site.
Most important tasks and responsibilities
Through strong and clear leadership develop the site to reach its business goals
Establish a plant culture of continuous improvement based on Operational Excellande and company strategy
Overall responsible for the operation and the operation being performed in an optimal HSE&S, process-safe, cost-effective and quality-conscious way
Overall responsibility for measures to avoid risks for employees and environment
Responsibility to achieve authorized budgets and investments projects and takes corrective
actions if budget is not met
Overall responsibility to establish plant objectives, goals, and key performance indicators for continuous improvement of the plant operations
Overall responsibility for product supply to the customers
Analyses plant operations to ensure that the facility maintains a leadership position in
the industry and that it takes advantage of new processes and technologies that
become available
Serves as the primary point of contact for communications
Carry out and be responsible for tasks being carried out according to applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) principles and according to GMP procedures

Relevant Bachelor or Master education
Proven good leadership skills
Fluent in Swedish and English
Relevant knowledge within the area of HSE
5-7 years of experience within the process industry
Deep experience in Lean6Sigma

To be successful in this position you are a strong leader who appreciates the power of team work as well as individual performances. You are confident in your own expertise and a strong drive to deliver results while maintaining a high quality and safety standards. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly set the direction as well as create winning teams and build your own network. You have experience from change management and enjoy being a manager in an environment of change.
