Surface Chemistry a business unit of AkzoNobel, operates in 50 countries, employing over 1500 people. Responsibilities
We are looking for you who want to take on a new challenge as Site Controller Surface Chemistry Stockvik. As Site Controller you coordinate the financial and economical processes of the plant and provide timely information and financial, fiscal and economic support to plant management. You are also the supplier of senior knowledge and reporting regarding financial and economical issues within Surface Chemistry. You report
hierarchically to Site Manager Surface Chemistry Stockvik but also functionally to the SBU Controller Surface
Chemistry Europe.
Accountabilities and objectives for the position:
• Contribute to the preparation and financial, fiscal and economical foundation of the operational plans and
reports of the plant
• Prepare and guard budgets of the different units and departments related to the plant
• Provide financial and economical analyses for investments
• Be responsible for developing of the product costing
• Produce and present relevant management information required by Site Manager/MT
• Take care of permanent monitoring of budget and use of financial resources. Analyze causes of deviations,
suggest actions for cost control and/or profit improvement
• Monitor costs and use of capital
• Provide management information concerning cost price developments, production results and plant efficiency
• Contribute, by information and education, to high financial and economical awareness within Site Surface
Chemistry Stockvik
• Responsible for necessary contacts with auditors and authorities
• Control and approval of supplier invoices
The Site Controller will also be expected to proactively provide relevant information to Management and others
in order to make better business decisions as well as recommend improvements to business processes.
Requirements
To enjoy and be successful in this position, you need to have a good understanding of and interest in financial processes. We believe you have good interpersonal and communication skills. You have a desire to learn as well as the courage and curiosity to question and take initiatives for improvements. Ability to plan, prioritize and organize your work in a result oriented way is important as well as being able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines. An analytical mindset is essential.
You have a university degree in finance and economics. You have experience of financial processes in general.
If you have experience from production reporting in particular, it is an advantage. Good English skills, both spoken and written is required as well as strong computer skills, preferably in ERP-systems, but also Excel.
