We welcome you to apply for the position as Site Buyer, Sourcing/Technical Procurement, in location Stenungsund, Sweden.
Role purpose
The Site Buyer Technical Services is part of Corporate Procurement organisation. He manages the portfolio of contracts for his site in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Technical Services portfolio covers the provision of all services necessary for the operation and maintenance of Borealis? plants across Europe (Maintenance, Facility Management, Scaffolding, Insulation, Inspection, etc.). Part of the portfolio is managed on group level (across sites) by Lead Buyers (e.g. tendering of scaffolding for all French sites), the other categories are managed on local level (Site Buyer / Group Buyer).
Reporting into the Procurement Manager Technical Services you are expected both:
• To contribute to the definition and lead the local implementation of group category strategies managed by Lead Buyers..
• To fully manage in coordination with the other sites the management of your local portfolio.
All in strict compliance with Borealis processes and policies.
Contribution
• Understands the HSEQ requirements of the Site and communicates effectively these requirements to the suppliers and contractors at Site. Monitors the level of adherence to safety procedures internally and externally, and guides suppliers (and others) where necessary to comply with safety standards.
• For segments assigned: the Site Buyer proposes the procurement strategy including in-depth knowledge of local market and ensures the necessary internal alignments to successfully implement agreed strategies.
• Coordinates timely with Lead Buyers / Category Managers to ensure the best possible deal out of the market can be achieved taking into account opportunities beyond his own Site.
• Supports implementation of group commodity strategies and established contracts (Frame Agreements),
• Participates actively in initiatives to improve the (common) procurement processes and systems in order to optimise resources and efficiency.
• Interact pro-actively with the internal users in order to assure proper understanding of the requirements
• Handle expediting issues in a pro-active way and capable to settle claim related issues
• Maintain local contracts, purchase orders and master data in respective IT-systems.
• Follow-up supplier quality and delivery performance and participate in supplier development programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in technical, economics or business
• 3 to 5 years of experience in petrochemical industry either in the procurement of investment or technical services contacts.
• Capability to understand the main issues related to contract templates and their implementation
• Proven basic project management skills
• Good communication skills
• Good problem solving ability
• Good team player, good ability to work in multi-cultural and cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English and Swedish (written and verbal)
• Good IT skills / Interest (Microsoft tools + SAP)
