TitanX Engine Cooling AB is looking for a simulation engineer!
TitanX operates two plants in Sweden and a factory in the U.S., with a total of
855 employees and a total turnover of 1.8 billion. TitanX want to continue to
maintain the reputation of being a market leader in the design and
manufacturing of solutions for engine cooling, with a total focus on commercial
vehicles.
Through close contacts with several manufacturers engine cooling in China, is
TitanX strategically positioned to deliver the product to local content in
China / Asia. To further strengthen our position, is a joint venture be
operational in Q3 2011 to ensure the best quality and technology for heavy
vehicles OEM in China to meet the next level of emission regulations. The joint
venture will serve as a platform for further expansion in Asia.
In 2012, plans TitanX Engine Cooling AB also to establish a wholly owned
manufacturing unit in Brazil. The expansion of our global presence is a high
priority for TitanX
We are looking for a Simulation Engineer
for our facility in Linköping,
Sweden.
The primary role of the Simulation Engineer
is to support the local project teams in their mission to develop products
which satisfy market needs. The Simulation Engineer strives for adequate
balance between numerical, analytical and experimental methods. Through
numerical simulation, s/he gains and shares insight of the physics driving performance
and durability which in turn helps reducing the number of design iterations.
S/he is also responsible for proper timing of the analyses. Overall, s/he actively
contributes to shortening the lead lime and reducing the cost of the development
projects.
As a member of the global simulation group,
the Simulation Engineer interacts on a regular basis with his/her peers scattered
around the globe. S/he takes part in the development of robust and accurate
numerical methods in collaboration with other sites. S/he tailors global
simulation methods to fit the local products. S/he is the local ambassador for
the global simulation group: s/he cultivates the simulation network, advertises
simulation capabilities, gathers feedback from local project teams, etc.
The Structural Engineer executes his/her
tasks with a strong quality mindset, respects existing work standards, and contributes
improving these standards.
Profile:
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering Physics, Mechanical
Engineering, or equivalent,
• minimum of two years experience in the
industry within the field of numerical simulation,
• proven skills in structural analysis is a
must,
• knowledge of CFD and sheet metal forming
simulation is a plus,
• knowledge of the following tools is a
plus: Hypermesh, Radioss, MSC
Nastran, ANSYS Mechanical, Code_Aster, Fluent, CFD++, OpenFOAM, Code_Saturne,
• hands on experience building,
instrumenting and testing physical prototypes is a plus,
• strong quality mindset,
• team player,
• excellent communication skills in English.
