At Metrea Simulations we are using Unreal Engine to build a military simulator targeting the professional market. One of the goals is to provide clients with an affordable, modern and realistic tool to improve training.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbSLAK1Cm08Metrea Simulations is looking for an IT-Technician to come join our team in Gamla Stan, Stockholm and help us build and manage the IT environment needed to create the ultimate high fidelity combat simulation. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation and you will work closely together with our artists, programmers and domain experts (e.g. fighter pilots) in doing so.
Responsibilities include:
Collaboration with our global team to understand requirements and propose practical, sustainable solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
Installation and support of IT-hardware and simulation rigs.
Server administration.
Optimizing and evolving current processes and solutions.
Skills and Requirements:
US or EU-Citizenship
Knowledge in relevant topics such as Windows, Linux, Networking, Storage, and IT Systems in general.
Good understanding of PC hardware
A high sense of self-motivation and initiative.
Ideal candidate would have some of:
Avid & passionate gamer
Experience with Perforce and GIT
Experience with build systems such as Team City
Experience with cloud systems such as AWS, GCP or Azure
Passion for anything aerospace related
A love for military themed games and simulations
Experience from the video game industry
