In our department Vehicle Concepts, Analysis & AE, we are Evolving and optimizing transport solutions through vehicle concepts and performance evaluation.
Furthermore, we Provide Methods, Tools and Expertize for Vehicle Performance evaluation of concepts and any given vehicle specification

Within the Team, we perform CFD simulations and developing methodology for supporting the increasingly important virtual product development at GTT. One current main operation area lies within the field of aerodynamics, where we also have a feature expertise role within GTT, and other application areas requiring fluid dynamics & 3D fluid simulation expertise. We have a strong focus in Advanced Engineering (AE), while as experts, we also support start cost projects.

We need now to reinforce our team with one Simulation & Analysis Engineer - Aerodynamics

Task and Responsibilities:

You are an expert within CFD analysis and aerodynamics field, able to analyze and develop methods, tools and concepts for aerodynamics, contamination and aero acoustics.

You will work with an experienced team of experts and in close cooperation with the product development organization of cab, chassis and powertrain engineering.
Perform Aerodynamics CFD analysis
Work Package leadership and execution of AE concept Development and Methods development tasks
Being part of developing strategies & road map for technology development in the aerodynamics area
Acting as CFD Support to GTT entities, including a broad variety of CFD applications
Be active in CFD network within the Volvo Group

Requirements
MSc/PhD in a Fluid-dynamics related field or similar
Experience in applied CFD simulations, where aerodynamic applications are meriting
Experience in Unix/Linux environment
Project management experience is a merit
Main tools used are ANSA and StarCCM+. Knowledge in OpenFoam is a merit
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
