What's in it for you?
Are you interested in working in a growing area where you will have the possibility to participate in and impact technical and organisational discussions? We are looking for a Simulation Engineer within Electromagnetics for the Antenna Teams within Agile Release Train (ART) Multimedia, which is responsible for the entire vehicle antenna systems.
You will work in a cross-functional agile team with simulation covering areas such as EMC, antennas and wireless phone charger. Method development is the main focus in the team, but some analysis work is done as well.
What you'll do
You will develop methods for electromagnetic simulations for future and currently used technologies within Volvo Cars. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership. The electromagnetic simulation area at Volvo Cars is planned to expand during the coming years, and you will be a key figure in defining the future scope and deliveries from the team.
Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this position, we believe you currently work as a simulation engineer within the electrical domain, from DC to microwave frequencies, and that you have some years' experience from simulation software within the electromagnetic domain (e.g CST, HFSS, FEKO, COMSOL) and/or electrical system domain (e.g Matlab, Simulink, SimPowerSystems, Saber, Ansys Simplorer). You have a M.Sc or PhD in physic, electronics or equivalent and driver's licence B.
Experience from the following areas will be seen as an advantage:
* Electrical HW design
* Antenna design
* Microwave technology
* Good scripting/programming skills and experience of handling large amounts of data
* Product development within the automotive industry

We believe you are a self-starting, result-oriented person who is structured and meticulous, with strong documentation skills and having the ability to coach and guide new team members. Since you will be interfacing with many cross-functional teams, you need to be communicative and a strong relationship builder.
