Volvo Cars is on an exciting journey, redefining the automotive experience by innovating to make people's lives less complicated. We offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make an impact in a company with unique opportunities to grow and make a true difference.

About us

The group Virtual Test Environments creates simulators for virtual testing and calibration as a complement to physical vehicle testing. The group consists of more than a dozen engineers, working in two teams with development of simulation environments and controllable engine models. We need to strengthen our virtual test capability with regards to both complexity and volume.

What 's in it for you

As a Simulator Developer you will be part of the team working with the development of one of our simulation environments. You will develop our Software In the Loop (SIL) environment, which is highly integrated in the continuous integration tool chain, and used for testing and calibration of the engine control software. You will work with other simulation and model developers, in a tightly knit Scrum team. Our daily work consists of different tools and spans a large technical area, and therefore you will continuously need to develop your competence in new aspects of engine control simulation and testing. In our team, you will have the opportunity to grow and use your competence to influence the direction of the development.

What you will do

The team works with the development of SIL simulation environments and system solutions with respect to engine control systems. You will be part of the development of models for control system and actuators, including complete powertrain models. The major part of the work is integration of models and software into a complete environment, which will be used for automatic and manual software testing and calibration. Maintaining and troubleshooting the existing application is a continuous task, and you will support software developers and test engineers in the usage of the environment.

Do you fit the profile?
