The English Shop is a family run business with shops in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. The shops are busy and lively and have a loyal customer base that expects the best in customer service. We are now looking to recruit a Manager for the shop in Söderhallarna.
The post is full-time (40 hours a week) and includes weekend and evening work. Applicants must have retail experience and be able to speak and understand Swedish.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
• Experience of working in a shop, preferably a food or book shop
• English as mother-tongue, confident Swedish
• Experience of cash registers and cashing up an advantage
• Knowledge of English food and drink, and a general interest in food
• Enthusiasm for English literature ? particularly teenage and childrens? fiction
• Sound organisational skills
• Experience of Visma Administration an advantage
Your role will include:
• Serving customers and helping with enquiries
• Ensuring the shop is well-stocked
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Setting priorities and tasks for all staff
• Dealing with deliveries, checking delivery notes and invoices
• Cashing up on a daily basis
3 months probation period.
