We have a great opportunity for an experienced Shipbuilding Software Test Specialist to join our Test team in the office in Malmö, Sweden.
Job Purpose
Technical Leadership on System Test projects related to software delivered by the Malmö office for the development programme; to develop and execute Marine tests in corporation with Customers and Software Development and to technically support the distributed test teams, both in-house and outsourced.
Principal Accountabilities
Assists Test Manager to ensure the delivery of testing activities throughout the duration of the project until release
Uses domain knowledge to develop, execute, specify and maintain test data, test sets and scenarios
Automate Engineering tests
Provides day to day technical leadership of test activities for in-house and outsourced test teams
Provides technical support of in-house and outsourced test teams
Has hands-on involvement in test activities on a number of different projects
Carries out detailed reviews of the testing work completed by in-house and outsourced test teams
Performs and monitors daily tests providing regular status reports as required
Assist Product Development with technical support based on domain knowledge
Work close to customers to implement their workflows into daily in-house test sets
Important Working Relationships
Working closely with the Product development team.
Supporting the goals of the AVEVA test strategy through contribution to the Software & Product testing organisation
Working closely with third-party testing suppliers
First port of call for outsourced test leaders and for project managers and test team leaders on projects
Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Required
A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or the equivalent level of experience gained in Industry
Proven experience of using a Shipbuilding software product such as Tribon or AVEVA Marine and possessing strong domain knowledge of significant aspects of Shipbuilding, including Hull design
A good knowledge of the development lifecycle and the role of testing within it
Good English language communication skills, verbal and written
Willing to travel occasionally
Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Desirable
Proven experience of testing a Shipbuilding software product such as Tribon or AVEVA Marine
Testing experience should include the following different phases of testing: systems integration, systems testing, User Acceptance Testing and Test Automation
Experience of working with outsourced test teams
Experience of the planning, design, execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed processes
Experience of using a functional testing tool such as HP QuickTest Professional or HP WinRunner
Experience of using a test management tool such as HP Quality Center
