Shantiland yoga and conference resort is a newly opened retreat center in Bjuråker, in the Swedish countryside, 350km north of Stockholm. Activities offered include yoga trainings for all practitioners - from beginners to yoga instructors - and other courses focusing primarily on health, well-being and mindfulness. Shantiland is an eco-friendly, non-smoking center with a focus on organic meals, sustainability and closeness to nature. The center can host up to 50 guests.
Your assignments
Your principal task is to learn the business as soon as possible, in order to help out with a variety of different activities. These activities include assisting in yoga teaching, cooking (for groups up to 50 people), cleaning, gardening as well as babysitting and updating the Shantiland website. You will also be responsible for certain bookkeeping tasks and production of reports and presentation materials.
Your profile
In order to qualify for this position, you need to have a good knowledge and strong interest in customer service, yoga practice and organic food preparation and cooking. You also need solid skills in spoken and written English as well as experience from taking care of children and computer management.

Practicalities and salary
The work will mostly be carried out where the center is located, i.e. Bjuråker. However, this might vary depending on the season and nature of the work that needs to be done, why the work might also be carried out in Stockholm or at other locations. The salary offered is 13.000SEK per months and cannot be negotiated. You must be able to start working April 15. The position offered is a part time position (appr 75%), during one and a half year, with a 3 months trial period. In general, you will work Monday to Friday during normal working hours. However, during weekend yoga courses, you will be expected to work also Saturdays and Sundays.
