What's in it for you?

Do you want to contribute to the next generation of plug-in hybrid and fully electrical vehicles? You will be a part a team, whose main target is to develop and maintain software. Our software is used in both plug-in hybrid vehicles and in the coming BEVs (Battery Electrical Vehicle). The software is developed both together with a supplier and in-house within the department. The department Traction Battery Controls & Calibration, within the Vehicle Propulsion Engineering unit, is responsible for specifying, developing and managing software for traction batteries. Since the propulsion aspect of the systems is main focus, we have a big customer focus. Availability and quality assurance are always in focus during daily work. Does sound like your next challenge? What you'll do

As Subfunction Responsible (SFR) you are responsible for specifying functions in the battery management system, your area is from idea to verified solution working together either with supplier or in-house SW team. You will be working in an agile team together with software developers (for the in-house developed parts) and test engineers (for both in-house and supplier software). You will cooperate closely with the other SFRs within the department for sharing best practice and developing ways of working. The area "Measurement and Communication" consists of fault handling of different protocols such as CAN, LIN and PWM and also diagnostics for measurements of pack voltage, pack current, cell voltages, temperatures, interlock circuits etc.

You will also:

* Be the interface between the Function Owner (FO) and the electrical system, thus ensuring that the subsystem will realise functional requirements

* Writing requirements within the scope of the subfunction

* Ensuring that calibration and testing is performed

* Analysing field reports and handling software defect reports within functional scope

On a personal level

To succeed in this role you need to be deliver and attention driven, this is two traits you will use on a daily basis in your work environment. In order to fully enjoy the job you also need to like working independently and to take initiative. Furthermore you need to be capable to work independently and have good communications skills since you need to interact with people based in different sites around the world.

Do you fit the profile?

* University degree in engineering or equivalent experience

* Experience from SW requirement specification and/or testing

* Extensive experience of diagnostic usage in aftermarket, manufacturing and development

* Fluent in English written and spoken

* Driving license

* Skills in model based development is meritorious

* ASIL experience in practice is meritorious
