Job description

The position of Service Quality Engineer is based within the Nordic region so either Finland, Sweden or Norway. Within that function reporting to the Director of Service for Nordic region. The role will consist of very regular travel throughout Norway, Sweden and Finland to all locations. The overall responsibility of the role is to ensure the highest possible standards of Quality are adhered to within the Service department of the Nordic region and ensuring that the regional service department is recieving quality products and services from internal and external suppliers and departments.
Key accountabilities
Responsible for inspecting the quality of the regular service work in different windfarms in Nordic region
Responsible for following the erection and commisisoning works within the region and identifying inconsistencies
Following regular maintenance activities in the regions turbines and identify and suggest improvments to the local teams and managment
Assuring that up to date work instructions are being used in the region
Organise local trainings with site teams to introduce changes or improvments to their daily work on the turbine and at service points
Quality inspections of subcontractor works
Quality inspections of newly constructed turbines
Remote Quality checks of wind turbines (e.g parameter checks, maintenance completeness, retrofit implementation)
Quality checks of maintenance documentation and reports
Creation of reports from Quality inspections and audits
Attending meetings to present findings from inspectons and audits
Attending internal and external audits
Driving continous improvement in Quality for the region
Taking part in internal Service team improvement projects from time to time
Job requirements
Career / Job experience
Wind Turbine Techncian with more than 3 years experience
OR Experience in a Quality Engineer role in an Industrial Enviornment
Experience in continuous improvement is an advantage
Experience from supervising teams is an advantage
Education and qualification
Educated in Electrical or Mechanical field
Or Quality Engineering Degree equivalent
Fluent in English
Strong IT skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Personal profile
Have a passion for getting things right and continuous improvment
Willing to do extensive travel (approximately 75%)
Excellent planning, organising, problem solving and end to end thinking
Flexible and able to deal with a number of items running concurrently
Self-motivated and committed
Able to work autonomously
Strong organizational skills and able to set priorities
Excellent communication skills to be able to deliver a training course
Ability to work at heights
