IT Services (ITS) is responsible for all End User, Infrastructure & Platform Services within Volvo Car Group globally and a key component of Service Delivery & Operations within Group IT. Our mission is to develop and deliver business valued IT Services to drive globalisation, growth and change, with continued cost efficiency. As individuals and as a team we are accountable for working according to the guiding principles; act proactive and professional, strive for speed and quality in deliverables, build close business interaction and understanding. ITS also has Test & Development Services which focuses completely on new development- and change initiatives, providing services and support to both IT and business. This department consist of 5 services: Test Center, Development Center, Configuration Mgmt Center (i.e. source code mgmt, continuous integration, code review), JIRA Plus (i.e. collaboration tools for development initiatives such as Jira and Confluence) and ITS Delivery Managers. Test & Development Services is working proactively to increase quality and drive modernisation such as DevOps.
As a Service Owner Test & Development Services you are responsible for executing and contributing to strategies, defining the high level design, governing the operations and improvement of services enabling the operation in the Volvo Cars IT environment. You have full accountability of the IT services in scope, including lifecycle mgmt, ensuring that the services deliver value to the business and that they perform according to agreed service-level agreement. You will be the escalation point within the organisation of the IT service, and you are responsible for defining the strategy and service-level goals and ensuring quality on the IT service delivery as well as business value realisation. We are looking for a self-motivated leader with excellent communication skills that is able to work in a future oriented, fast paced, demanding environment with great colleagues.
Main responsibilities
• Plan future strategic development of the services
• Guide your teams from early phases towards global solutions in full operation
• Secure global delivery and recharge of tools and services
• Follow up that suppliers and outsourcing partners deliver their services according to agreed levels
• Support projects with knowledge about the services
• Participate in different meetings around the services
• Manage and follow up the cost and budget for the services
Required qualifications
• University Degree within IT or similar
• Documented experience of working in a Service Owner type of role
• Strong resource, cost and time management ability
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Good sourcing and contract handling skills
• Keep track of deviations and secure that they are handled properly and timely
• Good knowledge of ITIL is meritorious
• Experience of agile processes and DevOps is very meritorious
• Experience within the automotive sector is meritorious
