Middleware Services is one group within Volvo Cars Group IT. Our group channels demand from various business areas and interacts on a daily basis with both business and IT stakeholders to capture today and tomorrow's needs. The group consists of three services; Application Integration, Application Server, and Business Process Management System.
Volvo Cars Group IT is undergoing a significant transformation in which Middleware Services plays an important role, contributing to our Technical Transformation and journey towards a flexible, scalable and future proven environment.
We are now looking for a Service Owner for Business Process Management System (BPMS) Service - within Platform Services, SD&O - that can contribute to our exiting journey towards a world-class service.
Main responsibilities
The role as BPMS Service Owner at Volvo Cars Group IT comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun. This assignment focus on the fast moving solutions in a Bi-Modal IT landscape where Volvo Cars sees a rapidly growing demand. Your to-do list includes:
* Manage the areas within BPMS Center (e.g. development and operation) in order to align strategies and roadmaps with business needs
* Manage agreements with suppliers and constantly work with improvement of their deliveries.
* Have a close cooperation with Business Engagement, Enterprise and Domain Architects in order to capture future needs and coming projects at an early stage
* Be part of the extended Service Owner community
* Manage the team of BPM platform and BPM process application architects/designers and work to constantly improve the BPMS services at Volvo Cars.
* Manage the work in defining and communicating BPMS strategies and driving the BPMS roadmap forward.
* Ensure that BPMS technologies, patterns, standards and architecture within Volvo Cars Group IT is providing the business with the BPMS services and infrastructure that are needed, now and in the future
* Manage the BPMS Center team to ensure architectural fit and secure valuable monitoring for important process applications
* Drive and communicate target architecture for the BPMS area and align this with Volvo Car 's target architecture. Make sure deviations from the target are approved and documented.
* Be responsible for the refactoring list to make sure process applications that could impact the production environment in a negative way are redesigned to follow the guidelines
* Be the link between IT 's Central Governance functions and BPMS Center
Required qualifications
* At least 5 years' experience within IT and software development, of which a few years of experience of BPMS
* Experience and genuine interest of managing and driving a team of architects and developers distributed in a global organization
* Having worked with BPMS in a large global organization
* It is qualifying if you have worked in global projects and rollouts with off shore development.
* Knowledge about BPM process application development and software development in general especially with agile methodologies
* Experience with suppliers and subcontractors, especially with off shore deliveries
* Leadership
* Communication
* English and Swedish, in speech and writing
* Have knowledge of and interest in Enterprise Architecture

* Experience with process development
* Experience with project management
* Experience with suppliers and subcontractors, especially with off shore deliveries
