www.qiagen.com.As Instrument Service Specialist you serve QIAGENs customers over the Nordic countries. Our customers are situated at e.g. hospitals, biotech laboratories or in blood banks. The main tasks are to solve application/technical problems and service or install equipment. You will help customers with on-site installation, education and training, troubleshooting/repair, and general support of QIAGEN solutions, including consumables, instrumentation and applications in all markets. As a representative for QIAGEN you promote sales and serve as company liaison with the customer.
The position offers extensive travelling, about 75% of the time, throughout the Nordic and occasionally other European countries. You will work from a by QIAGEN equipped home-office.

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest for both biosciences and for technology. You have at least 2 years of experience within a relevant field. A suitable background could be e.g. as a scientist with a documented flare for technology OR a qualified electrical engineer with experience from biotech applications. It is an advantage if you have worked with QIAGEN products or similar.
You love to travel throughout the nordic countries with short notice and are aware of the special challenges associated with extensive travel by car or plane. You are a service-oriented person with a representative attitude towards the customers. You have no problem lifting objects ~25 kg or to work with hazardous substances up to biosafety level 3.
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Scandinavian is meriting. If you speak German or French it is advantageous. You have a valid drives licence.
