Global Service Engineering is as a team responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of service product features, technical publications, initial training, global parts availability, and service process validation.
What You'll Do
We are involved in all new hardware/software development projects to ensure that our products meet the desired and required Design for Service level expected from a modern product. Once a new product has been launched, we are also a natural part in the life cycle management process. We also provide remote and on-site support to our field service engineers when required.
The position requires communication with several functions in the organization and will be involved in the full lifecycle of the product from definition to verification/validation and installed base support.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Developing, updating and maintaining our internal and external product service documentation
Defining procedures for field modifications, calibrations, and part replacements
Owning product and subsystem requirements related to serviceability and diagnosis
Constantly review product design, in development through NPI and installed base via Life Cycle Management, from a Design for Service perspective
Setting spare part strategies and interfacing with external organizations such as Service Operations
Deliver high quality support in a timely manner through our quality case management system
Providing high quality service deliverables within the scope of New Product Introduction projects and Product Care activities
Driving technical solutions and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology

Who you are
5 years relevant work experience
Demonstrated technical domain knowledge by being current on engineering design principles, architectures and advancements in engineering concepts and technologies
Effective communication skills and boundless behavior-ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated technical depth with problem-solving techniques
Hands-on approach with regards to installations, upgrades and repairs
Fluent speaking and writing in English language
Experience working in a Service or Systems Engineering team
Desired qualifications
Experience from the Life Sciences business
Experience of technical writing
Design for Serviceability (DFS) and/or Design For Reliability (DFR) experience
Experience of PDM-systems (Magic)
Experience of defining requirement specifications
Experience of IT infrastructure and DBA
