Work Decription
FAS Converting Machinery has put themselves in a strong position in the global market thanks to its high quality of products and service.
As a service engineer, you will become part of our respected and knowledgeable service team. The team is constantly working on the deployment, maintenance and service of our proprietary machinery in the global market. Partly, your work will be based in our own facility in Arlöv, Sweden, but you will also work at our customers' sites which are located around different parts of the world.
In our own facilities, you work side by side with our production and development department, where you will test and ensure the quality of newly manufactured machines before sending them to our customers. You will also respond to calls and emails from customers with technical queries and you will sometimes perform troubleshooting of machines using internet link.
When the machines are to be installed in the customer's facilities, you oversee and ensure that the deployment and tuning of the machines occurs properly and in a timely manner. This also means that you will train the customer in operation and maintenance of our machines
You will be supported by a well-functioning team of colleagues with long experience in the industry. At times you may be required to operate and demonstrate FAS equipment at a trade fair.
Qualifications
Working as a service engineer is an exciting challenge that requires technical knowledge combined with a high level of service and customer orientation. You will not only become and function as the customer's technical support - your actions and dedication will clearly affect the customer's perception of FAS Converting. We are looking for someone who has the right attitude and a strong motivation to develop personally. Your tasks are largely practical and independent.
Success in this role requires a proven habit of working with qualified technical problem solving. Inside of our machines; mechanics, electrical, pneumatics, PLC and servomotors work together. Your primary strength is your technical breadth and ability to handle both theory and practice at the same time. Your knowledge has been obtained through education (at least technical college) combined with relevant work experience.
As a person, you are flexible, responsive and have no problem working on your own. You have the customer's needs in focus and can also perform under pressure. You are accustomed to working in a smaller sized company where you are given a high degree of responsibility and independence. That is why it's very important to be a team player and have the willingness of always helping your colleagues and costumers.
FAS Converting Machinery
FAS Converting is a Swedish equipment manufacturer, founded in 1978. We develop, design and assemble, install and support machines for converting plastic film into bags on roll. Our customers are within the flexible packaging industry and the main products are a garbage bag on roll. Today FAS Converting have a broad product range covering all from industrial winders, with or without perforator for pallet covers, agricultural film, sheeting's to food and freezer and garbage bags, wave top and draw-tape bags.
In North America FAS Products are sold under the PECO brand name. PECO offers its customers US based sales, parts and technical service support for the equipment manufactured in Sweden.
