Due to recent years successful sales, a very interesting development program and an ambitious plan to grow further we are now looking for a new service engineer to join our group working with Robbins raiseboring machines. Within Underground Rock Excavation division (URE), we have a dedicated team responsible for all functions tied to this product line, from marketing, product development, purchasing and production and logistics, to service.
The work in Technical Service is generally divided into the following areas:
• Commission machines on new markets.
• Perform workshop start ups.
• Support the service department in the Customer Centres (CCs) regarding technical issues where it is required.
• Assist in Product training and development of training material
• Participate in product development projects with focus on building, testing and documentation.
• Technical feedback. Address internally, technical problems reported by our CCs as well as working with warranty issues.
• Technical documentation. Support and update instructions, service schedules and part books together with the Technical Documentation department.
• Support internal departments inside Raiseboring as well as others inside URE with service, raiseboring related isssues.
You must be prepared to travel 60-80 days per year.
Experience/Educational requirements
A technical background is necessary - several years of experience and good understanding of electrics, hydraulics and mechanics. Mining experience and/or experience from CCs is an advantage. Good communication skills and a genuine interest to meet and work in a global environment. A good command of English language is also required and if you speak other languages, its an advantage.
Personality requirements
Result-oriented with a self motivating personality. Strong communication skills. Outgoing, responsible & hands-on. You should be aware that this job is demanding, but also rewarding and developing.
