As Service Development Specialist you play an important role in helping the business to successfully launch and maintain both external and internal services, new and existing. The Service Development Specialist has a wide variety of challenging responsibilities, not only to develop new services, but also to perform investigations of existing processes and services and to analyze problems relating to previous implementations and deployments. As a service development specialist you have an analytical mindset, you are someone with top of the line problem solving skills and naturally someone who is eager to find solutions that make our service deployments run as smoothly as possible, maximizing return of investment and keeping time to value short. You may sometimes also be requested to help out specific departments with specific continuous service development tasks, creating concepts and alternative solutions, often to resolve architectural or functional problems.
Our customers are pharmaceutical companies (shippers) as well as freight forwarders and airline partners and you will build relationships with key customers as well as internal stakeholders. You are responsible for identifying development needs for existing services as well as the need for new ones, and will develop business cases and provide the Envirotainer Management Team with recommendations for service development investments. You are also responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the service development process.
Main responsibilities are:
• Lead service development together with core business functions and customers
• Participate in and facilitate the service orientation of Envirotainer?s core business
Develop business cases and provide recommendations for investments in service development
• Contribute in improving the position of Envirotainer within the cold chain market
• Responsible for quality assurance of service development projects when it comes to core business requirements, business alignment and the business value delivered
• Secure and facilitate that business requirements are aligned with IT application and infrastructure standards where applicable and possible in order to secure long term quality, flexibility and cost requirements for Envirotainer
• Continuously develop and improve the service development process
• Contribute to the overall Business development strategy and implementation
We expect you to have a combination of distinct analytical skills and a very good sense of business and service. You have strong project management skills and are a person with integrity and maturity. You have a relevant university/college degree and a multi-year experience in similar roles in project management and service development. It is an advantage if you have a good understanding of service management concepts e.g. ITIL.
