Commercial Operations has the global responsibility for the strategies, operations and control of the Scania-owned sales and services companies and business units. Commercial Operations provides support to the Scania-owned as well as to the independent franchise network through its support functions and support companies.
Scania is currently undergoing an exciting digital transformation towards a more flow-oriented and digitalized network in which Service design is playing a key role towards innovation.
Scania is a premium manufacturer of heavy trucks, busses and engines with a focus on delivering value through the whole lifecycle of the vehicles. To stay ahead in the industry Scania has a focus and ambition to digitalize processes that exists at our network across the globe.
There are several initiatives and programs running to support the achievement of long term targets.
Digital Dealer is currently one of Scania's most ambitious programs with high expectations from the whole organisation. With this program Scania is also exploring design thinking and human centred design to make it more established within the company. This includes working with information flows of service employees at the dealer network.
As a Service Designer in Services Innovations, your core responsibility will be to implement new ways of working with design thinking in the Digital Dealer program. In this role your working tools will be customer journeys, innovation workshops with interdepartmental inputs and prototyping.
Imagine yourself working in a fun, engaging and innovative environment with business professionals, process responsible, UX designers, Engineers and product owners to explore and facilitate innovation.
Your profile
As a service designer in the Digital Dealer program you'll be embedded in a discovery team together with software and workshop specialists. Your role will be to facilitate design thinking processes, perform/plan qualitative research, develop concepts and make sure the strategic vision is being communicated in a clear way. Parallel to your work there are several Scrum teams developing and testing as you go along.
Experiences / Skills
We think you are a seasoned design practitioner with a background in visual design or experience design. The role requires a lot of face time with internal and external stakeholders.
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Service, Interaction, or related design field.

• Good understanding of agile way working.
• Excellent design skills
The external contacts in our service network require that you are fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are considered a merit. Travelling will be required.
