Job description
The role is being the glue between the Scania business and the line organization delivering Infrastructure services. You must build trustworthy and long-term relationships in both groups, bear in mind these groups have a huge communication gap not understanding each other so well.
You will work together with a virtual team of around five persons.
The main responsibilities as an Service Delivery Manager (SDM) are:
Acting as a commercial interface between Scania Business and IT department, new demands are constantly coming in and need to be handled
Having a continuous dialogue with Scania Business to follow up IT performance and customer satisfaction
Initiate pre-studies and implementation projects and being part of the steering of such activities/projects
Participating in the strategic planning to define the desired state, strategy and roadmap
Run smaller projects and pre-studies
Being part of escalation chain when things are not working as they should
This role has proven to be a good platform to take on a managerial position in the future.
Your profile
You probably have, not a requirement, a relevant academic education but in order to be successful in this position we think you need to have 5-7 years of relevant experience of working within Infrastructure Services or a strong drive to learn about Infrastructure Services having another background within the IT industry.
The suitable candidate needs to have the following skills :
Experience of understanding business requirements and working with key business and technology stakeholders
A curious interest in all new IT technology and how it can be transformed into workable and cost-effective solutions
Passion and drive
Thinking in solutions
High integrity when harmonising local and central requirements
Communicative - Co-operative
Fluent in written and spoken English
The location
Scania headquarter is located less than 40 km south of Stockholm city. It is easily accessible by regional train, commuter train, bus or car. Scania's own bus line, Scania Job Express, goes from Stockholm city directly to Scania in Södertälje.
