hela Sverige Avalanche Studios Group and its creative division Systemic Reaction are looking for a Backend Programmer working with development of both internal and player-facing backend services.
The Position
In this role you will be challenged with design and development of our next generation of backend services as well as supporting existing games running on current generation backend. You will be working with a team of Senior Backend Developers, planning long term technical roadmaps and promote a positive and collaborative team spirit. Our backend services are implemented in Go with parts extending into C++, Python and JavaScript. We are looking for someone who has solid experience from the games industry and managing large code bases shared between multiple products.
Required Qualifications
Senior level, expected a minimum of 5+ years of professional programming experience
Strong knowledge of backend programming in Go, Python, C# or Java
Extensive experience from storage technologies such as MySQL, NoSQL, Memcache
Extensive experience running services in commercial clouds or Kubernetes
A great sense of technical excellence, functionality and problem-solving
Excellent verbal and written English
Bonus Qualifications
Experience from the Video Game industry
Knowledge of Javascript and C++
Previous work with high availability solutions
Passionate about gaming
