Axis is now looking for a Sensor Engineer positioned in our Thermal Cameras department within the Research & Development organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In order to strengthen AXIS development capacity of thermal network cameras, AXIS thermal camera team is looking for a colleague who can take part in developing AXIS know-how around sensor components for thermal cameras.  Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Evaluate new sensors for thermal cameras
• Design and verify sensor calibration strategies
• Designing, improving and implementing test methods for sensors
• Communicating with suppliers
• Educate your colleagues within AXIS

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a master degree or a PhD in physics or engineering and that you have 5 - 10 years’ experience from solving relevant problems in a structured way. You are used to work with problem solution based on theory and analytical understanding as well as practical lab work. Previous work with imaging sensors is a merit. You are a skilled user of MatLab, Octave or equivalent tools, and have C-programming skills in a Linux environment.

The position involves building a professional network internally as well as externally so excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and oral, are required.
