The Position
Avalanche Studios Group is looking for a Senior World Designer with vegetation art experience to join our dynamic team, currently creating an unannounced self-published game. The team is moderately sized which will give you fantastic opportunities to influence the end product while pushing the boundaries of your discipline.

As a Senior World Designer, your primary role involves creating breathtaking and immersive locations in the game world, additionally, you also assist the design team by developing scripted player experiences within these environments. This position requires hands-on involvement in world-building, utilizing a diverse array of editors and tools to create rich, interactive worlds.

Responsibilities
An excellent understanding of level and world design principles from high-level world flow to crafting dynamic encounter and traversal spaces
Experience creating open-world spaces using terrain sculpting and grey box tools
Strong knowledge of game design fundamentals with an understanding of how to craft a space that fully embraces systemic elements Self-motivated in setting and reaching goals while able to produce results as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate ideas and requirements to stakeholders

Required Skills
In-depth knowledge and proficiency in the vegetation art pipeline, demonstrating the ability to produce high-quality vegetation elements.
Experence in creating open-world spaces using terrain sculpting and grey box tools
A solid grasp of game design principles, with a keen eye for creating spaces that seamlessly integrate systemic gameplay elements.A self-motivated attitude, capable of setting and achieving goals independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, able to convey ideas and requirements clearly to all stakeholders.

The Locations
The Stockholm location
Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city's game industry. It's a physical representation of our games - the lush vegetation of Just Cause and The Hunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max. It has everything you need to make it your creative base camp.

The Malmö location
You'll find us in a standout building from 1958, just a stone's throw from the Central Station. Within these walls, the American dream was leveraged to sell muscle cars more than half a century ago. Today, the location balances Avalanche Studios Group's industrial, high-octane heritage with a bright and homey vibe featuring resident dogs and patio-grown chilies.
