Recruitment need

Carla is looking for an exceptional Workshop Consultant to join our fast-growing operations team. In this role, you will support our Site Manager in a busy and demanding production site. Your days will revolve around vehicle inspection flows through to handover process development & automation. Your main responsibility will be to identify and act upon development areas and implement new approaches and methodologies to improve operations in our brand new workshop in Kungsängen. The role is focusing on and working around tight deadlines to ensure customer requirements are being maintained and high quality standards are met.

About the role

We are looking for a senior Workshop Consultant who can provide insight into business performance and areas and suggest methods to improve operations. In this role you will map our vehicle routes into refurbishment and distribute workflows to maximize our site capacity. You will build reporting dashboards for quality & program management.

Responsibilities and concrete examples of work tasks include (but are not limited to):

• Support in overseeing the production process to ensure vehicles remain on schedule, highlighting any delays as soon as possible
• Identify post sale cost reductions
• Measure the impact of delays, disruptions and/or changes to plans and implement appropriate solutions.
• Ensure a robust control of paint and materials costs
• Drive absence management across the site
• Conduct operations reviews
• Work closely with the training team to identify and support employee training and development plans
• Meet and exceed all KPIs such as: Productivity, Efficiency, Utilisation and Work in Progress (WIP)

• Final Quality control checks and ' Sign Off '
• Place stock orders and ensure regular stock checks are carried out
• Provide daily updates on vehicles that have failed Quality Control checks

• Oversee the day-to-day routines and processes
• Implement and oversee operational approaches and methodologies
• Present insights and recommendations to the management team for decision-making and strategic planning

Qualifications:

• Technical background and previous experience from managing production and/or production engineering and development
• Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen
• Skilled within Operations Management, Lean, Material- and Production Planning
• Proficient in data manipulation and Excel/Google Sheets
• General data presentation/"storytelling" abilities
• Strong ability to identify development areas and implement solutions to maximize business efficiency
• Adept at understanding complex problems and visualizing your findings to stakeholders
• Familiar with working with technology, e.g. tablets, smart phones
• A curious mindset, - you are someone who always questions routines/processes and proactively drives continuous improvement

Meritorious:

• Previous experience from a start-up or hyper-growth environment
• Experience from management consulting
• Experience from a similar role in the automotive or industrial sector

Characteristics:

• You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast paced environment with a hands on attitude and at heart with a data-driven mindset, sharing fresh ideas for how to apply best practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
• This role includes close cooperation with several internal functions as well as external contacts and outstanding communication skills are required in both Swedish and English

Educational background

• Minimum a BSc degree, within computer science, management, engineering, economics, finance or equivalent
