About us
We are now looking for a Senior Warranty Segment Leader to our team within Warranty. The Warranty Team consists of around 40 people worldwide located in Greensboro, Hagerstown, Curitiba, Lyon and Gothenburg. In Gothenburg we are seen as Key Accounts towards the Volvo Brand sales area; Europe and International. Our main task is to drive the supplier warranty recovery (SWR) and contribute to warranty spend reduction for our suppliers by collaboration with Volvo Group stakeholders. Within the warranty team we have established Key Skills mapping linked to equivalent class room and on the job training for each role. This will provide you with the possibilities to grow in your role as well as take on new challenges when the time is right. Position description
As a Senior Warranty Segment Leader you have the ownership for a portfolio including one or more commodities (e.g. Chassis, Electrical, Base Engine etc.) and shall lead supplier warranty recovery (SWR) connected to these. Each commodity contains suppliers that deliver Hardware and Software parts to Volvo. As a Senior Warranty Segment Leader you define and manage the SWR delivery targets, warranty business case and supplier strategy. You identify SWR activities, break them down to actionable items and coordinate execution cross-functionally. You will analyze warranty cases occurring at dealer network, based on Warranty Claims, dealer quality report and market quality reports. The role contains to consolidate components failure modes through cross-functional work, by organizing and leading Warranty Material Analysis, requesting and reviewing technical report, or leading XF investigation on top warranty cases with Volvo stakeholders and suppliers. The role also encloses to define technical ownership and development process root causes of failure modes considering project, technical and contractual documentation. By acting upon the contractual obligations between Volvo and its suppliers, you as a Senior WSL shall claim, negotiate and secure Volvo are compensated according to the technical ownership defined during the work. Qualifications:
• MSc in Technical area (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical etc.) or Master in business administration or economy
• 4-8 years of work experience in relevant area
• Proficient in English, verbally and in writing
• Quality management tools in project and quality root cause analysis tool
