hela Sverige Powertrain Production (PTP) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy-duty diesel engines for commercial vehicles. Powertrain production provides diesel engines and transmission systems to the Volvo Group and also remanufactures a range of products. Powertrain Production has facilities in Charlotte, Curitiba, Flen, Hagerstown, Köping, Limoges, Middletown, Skövde and Vénissieux.
The world of today is consuming natural resources in a non-sustainable way and in principal we are depleting important conditions for life, for our children, grandchildren and generations to come. VPS is an efficient way of using less resources in all our activities and unleashing the full human potential for a better and more sustainable world. In Powertrain Production we are in the midst of a huge transformation as the heart of our business and relatively mature when it comes to improvement work.

Who are we?
VPS in Powertrain Production (PTP) is a small and powerful unit with big influence and opportunities supporting the essential transformation undergoing. Our main responsibilities are within PTP but we are also networking with the rest of the group.
You will be a part of VPS, Quality & Environment PTP regional team. We are seven members working dynamically, together driving strategical topics, independently when coaching and assessing. Since we are located in three regions sharing is essential and we are exploring new technologies to improve in this aspect. Our stakeholders range from regional management teams, networks owners and local team members, so communication is an area of great interest.
What challenge do we offer?
VPS is a full system, designed and developed for continuous improvements, everyday and everywhere. As such it needs to be robust and understandable for everyone, over time.
For this we need to constantly challenge ourselves and the system to serve the organization, to challenge and grow together. For a sustainable future.
Although we have taken big steps merging VPS and digitalization the most is yet to be done and here we see you as an important contributor.
We perform coaching and assessments, lead improvement projects directly or indirectly.
We take responsibility for a well-designed, up-to-date, perform and transform system.
Who are you?
We believe that you are open-minded, equipped with patience and ambitions, dedication and humour.
Coaching and facilitating skills at varying levels and organizations are necessary qualifications.
Experience from operations, lean in general and VPS in specific is wanted.
Other qualifications are:
University degree in engineering or equivalent
Proficiency in English is required.
