hela Sverige The SVP Legal will have the overall responsibility for the performance and development of the legal and compliance function in Group Truck Sales. Responsibilities include providing guidance and support to the business and promoting that our business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations as well as internal legal processes and policies.
You will report to the EVP of Group Trucks Sales, and be a member of the GTS Executive team and the Volvo Group Legal and Compliance Council.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Proactively manage all legal issues as they relate to Group Truck Sales business.
• Implement Volvo Group policies, strategies and procedures within the legal field and to promote legal compliance at all times.
• Anticipate and mitigate regulatory risks facing the business.
• Manage relationships with outside legal service providers.
• Collaborate with the other members of the Volvo Group Legal and Compliance -Council to establish harmonized processes, develop relevant tools and secure coordination in order to ensure full support to the business, full compliance and efficiency.
• Attract, develop and retain talent and secure/allocate necessary resources to carry out the activities at hand.
Profile
The role requires strong leadership skills with at least 10 or more years of professional experience and a proven track record of achievements in relevant areas. Experience from retail excellence and service leadership operations is a merit.
Key requirements:
• Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching other counsels and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to perform and deliver top quality services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively internally and externally across functions and geographies.
• Demonstrating high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies at ?leading business level?.
• Strong personal credibility and integrity, with extensive experience of providing advice to senior and top level management.
• Extensive experience from managing international transactions and negotiations at executive levels.
• Very good business and financial awareness and highest ability to apply legal, business and financial aspects from a Group perspective.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
